Questions To Ask When Choosing a Provider: What experience and/or credentials does the management have to  provide home care services? Are you an experienced health care manager? How long has your company been providing services locally? May I see a copy of your Washington State survey? Have you had any complaints? How do you supervise your caregivers? How often do your care managers visit in the home to evaluate services? Do you offer both home care and home health? Do you require a good driving record, criminal background check, and drug testing of your employees? Do you require ongoing training of your staff? If a caregiver cannot make a shift, how will you replace her? Do you perform care coordination with other health care     professionals and services? Do you complete a comprehensive assessment of the  person you will be providing services to? Are you available for problems 24 hours a day? It’s always a good idea to visit the agency office and meet the management team personally and to see how they operate. By doing so, you can get a feel for their professionalism and determine if they are the in-home care agency for you!
